Big Cass Scheduled for Surgery, Believed to Have Torn ACL

The WWE reported on Tuesday evening that Big Cass (William Morrissey) looks to have suffered a torn ACL in his left knee following an injury on Monday’s episode of Raw.

The WWE’s ringside physician, Dr. Chris Robinson, stated it appears to be a torn ACL and a possible medial meniscus tear as they await a radiologist to evaluate the knee and provide a full report.

Morrissey is scheduled for surgery later this week and they are estimating that it will be a nine-month recovery.

The injury occurred during a Brooklyn Street Fight between Cass and Enzo when Cass went for a running boot into the ropes and crashed to the floor. His knee buckled as he attempted to gut his way through the match and was unable to hit the Empire Elbow and the match was called off.
